The teachings of the Second Vatican Council, the CCC, the Compendiums of the CCC & Catholic Social Doctrine, the thought of Popes Paul VI, JP II and B16, are all gifts of the Holy Spirit to our age. These teachings serve two primary purposes: (1) the enrichment of the faith, and (2) the universal call to holiness. Therefore I highly recommend the following catechetical works to you.

Image of God - This religion series is an exciting comprehensive Catholic program that has as its foundation the creation of human beings in God's own likeness. The greatest confirmation of man's unique dignity is the Incarnation of Christ, the God-man who is the perfect image of the Father and who reveals God as Love, especially by the Cross and Resurrection. In revealing God, Christ showed us who we are and how to act. This emphasis on the dignity of the individual child as the foundation of this series is taken from Scripture, the documents of Vatican II, and the writing of John Paul II.

Consecration In Truth - The Ad Hoc Committee to Oversee the Use of the Catechism, United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, has found the Consecration in Truth catechetical series to be in conformity with the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The Consecration in Truth program is a creative blending of new multimedia technology (audio/visual and printed resources) and tried and proven interactive teaching methods to assist and unite parents, educators, and pastors in their sacred duties of teaching the Catholic faith to children and adults alike. This theologically approved curriculum centers on Sacred Scripture, the documents of Vatican II, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and classics of Catholic spirituality.

Didache Series - This series draws from the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Sacred Scripture, the lives of the saints, the Fathers of the Church, and the teachings of Vatican II as witnessed by the pontificate of Pope John Paul II.

Come and See Bible Studies - Drawing insights from biblical archeology and the writings of the early Church Fathers, this study constructs a vivid picture of the life and mission of Jesus Christ. It uses frequent references to the Catechism of the Catholic Church and is illustrated with classical art.
