“Democracy” is Not Salvation

There is a mysterious, almost evangelistic, that is “religious” fervor afoot in the 21st century West particularly in the United States which has begun to regard liberal democracy as a kind of “manifest destiny.” It is very similar to the zeal with which many prior generations of Christians approached the missionary work of “spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
