I'm watching with interest how
Judge Roberts will be received in the approval hearings. I think he could be making statements as a matter of strategy to avoid being
"snake bit" by anti-C bias--or to be viewed as a pawn of the Bps or the "overturn Roe vs. Wade" movement. I think both he and Dubya are coordinating this approach to minimize hostility to his appointment.
