I was given the enormous privilege of speaking at Rimini in 2003. I am clearly not worthy of this honor.

Moving to Meet American Protestantism. Lessons in Real Ecumenism

I tell everyone... Go there at least once in your lifetime. There is nothing like it anywhere in the world. It's the largest cultural event of this kind in the world. Whatever your interests (religion, philosophy, politics, economics, literature/poetry, art, music, sports, etc.), everything is there. It was began by the CL Community of Rimini in 1980 with a little over a thousand participants. It now hosts nearly a million people each year. They have world-class museum exhibits built specifically for the Meeting from all around the world and have 3,000+ volunteers donating their time and effort for free to work the event for the entire week. It's an amazing event.
