Question for David, given as he blogged this link: Who in your understanding are the key advocates of "neoliberalism" in Stephen's post?

I think JPII is referring to those that abuse the system (or lack thereof) in Central and South America. This is clear from reading the entire section of paragraph 56. This includes the portion prior to the quoted part (which is halfway into paragraph 56) and the two paragraphs immediately following the quoted part, which are still within the section of 56.

I honestly do not think JPII is talking directly to the United States in this section, but Latin America. Regardless, the key advocates would be greedy businessmen who do not respect the dignity of their clients/consumers. Other advocates could be corrupt politicians, etc.
