Nothing wrong with it at face value, given that Pope Benedict himself contends for a "positive secularity" in government, and earlier remarked "that from many points of view the American model is the better one," while "Europe has remained bogged down in caesaropapism."

But I agree, let's hope for a publication of his talk.
