This blog explores both historical and current events guided by the thought of the leading thinkers, past and present, of this school or movement of theology. Refer to the Classic Posts, Great and Contemporary Thinkers, various links of all kinds, in addition to the Archives themselves. David is the founder and manager of this website, but many friends contribute to it on a regular basis.
The War-bloggers would have you believe that the majority of veterans and nearly everybody currently in the military today are card-carrying Republicans. Nothing could be farther from the truth as the articles in the main post above show.
Well, there is a selection bias here in that veterans who still think the war is a good idea are more likely to re-up their enlistment in Iraq and not be available to run for office.
The Democrats have often bought into the myth that david describes. They should be trying to make inroads into supposedly Republican strongholds in the way that GOP strategists have tried to sway blocs such as blacks and Hispanics instead of obsessing about "activating the base."
That's funny coming from you Chris considering you proudly consider yourself one. Why don't you give us a blog-roll?
I would add to my above comments that it is a myth that the majority of veterans and those currently serving are in support or full agreement about being in Iraq.
