Prairie Rome Companion

Dear Big Time Catholic Bloggers,

Greetings in Christ!

I hope this email finds you well.As some of you know, in my capacity as Director of Adult Faith Formation for the Diocese of Sioux Falls I recently started a podcast, titled -- thanks, Jeff! -- Prairie Rome Companion (the feed is http://feeds.feedburner.com/sfcgp).

I've got a few episodes up, as well as a number of our Theology on Tap presentations, but I'm really excited about the 4th and most recent episode of the podcast, in which I interview Dr. Michael Waldstein, who did the new, more precise and accurate translation of the Theology of the Body. I thought your respective audiences might enjoy the interview, and hence this email.

Thanks for your time!

In Christ,

Chris

Clarification, please.

Is this "Chris" the one who believes in warring upon bodies (ironic, as that is 100% opposed to JP II's theology of the body), or is this the other Chris? One can't be sure -- I've noticed there is a tendency for anyone who reads or writes to call themselves "Catholic," even though they support endless violence (murder, torture, tearing down, etc.) in thought, word and deed.

Thank you.

Are you talking about Christopher West?

The above message is from Dr. Chris Burgwald, Diocesan Director of Adult Faith Formation, Souix Falls, SD. Chris earned his STD from the Angelicum in Rome.

Not sure which "Chris" believes in "warring upon bodies" (or what that even means, frankly), but if it is 100% opposed to JP II's theology of the body, you can bet it is not Christopher West. Conversely, if it is Christopher West, you can bet it is not opposed to JP II's theology of the body, and somebody is misunderstanding one or the other.
