Calvin's influence on America
One could argue that John Calvin had a bigger impact on America than even John Locke...
Calvin had an enormous influence on the Pilgrims and Puritan's thought as well as George Whitefield and Jonathan Edwards, the leaders of the First Great Awakening. But to say Calvin is the only one that effected American thought and behavior is non-sense. Wesley's impact through the Second Great Awakening on our thought and culture was great as well.
