Has anybody read this book? I see it was reviewed in Modern Theology.

I've perused it at length. It's he Continuum version of Howsare's phd diss. It coverings everything from Balthasar and Luther to Balthasar's relationship to Barth in light of the analogia entis. I consider it a fine exploration of many themes in Balthasar, and would be especially helpful to those more-Barthian types who, like Hunsinger, can't get over their fear of the analogia entis personified (i.e. as a mediator between God and Man). There's even a small section on Balth's critique of Rahner, and how Christian philosophy conceived of by Balth fits into the Yale/Chicago divide among American protestants. I was pleased to see a book that took its ecumenical implications from serious theological consideration.
Over at http://thelandofunlikeness.com we're going to be discussing Balthasar's 1933 article "On the Tasks of Christian philosophy in our time" later this week. Please join in if you have the chance.

Best wishes,
Dan
