Rediscovering God in America

Reflections on the Role of Faith in Our Nation's History and Future

Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich wrote:

'There is no attack on American Culture more destructive and more historically dishonest than the secular Left's relentless effort to drive God out of America's public square.'

To see how important religion was to our nation's Founders - and to generations of their successors - take a stroll around Washington, DC.

This film follows Speaker and Mrs. Gingrich on their "walking tour" through Washington, D.C. At each stop of the walking tour we'll see evidence of God in America. From the National Archives and Capitol Building to Arlington National Cemetery and Library of Congress, the role of religion in our nation's founding is examined and explained.

Hear from best-selling author Walter Isaacson, Attorney General Edwin Meese III, authors and historians H.W. Brands and Douglas Brinkley, former ambassador and author Michael Novak and Wallbuilders President David Barton.

The goal of this film is best stated by Gingrich himself, "The next time a friend or colleague says that religious expression has no place in the public square and that discussion of God has no place in our children's history and government classes, you will only need to tell them about what you experienced on this simple walk to remind them of God's role in America's history -- and America's future."

Rediscovering God in America reminds us all that America is indeed, "One Nation Under God".

To counter-balance this post I would refer to another post of mine.

One can argue the God of the Founding Fathers was the God of Freemasonry. The Holy Mother Church teaches us the God of Freemasonry is Satan.

I wonder which Mrs. Gingrich you mean -- the one he married after he served his then-wife divorce papers while she was recovering from cancer treatment?
