1st Infantry Division Prayer
Almighty God, we come before You as First Infantry Soldiers! We are honored to serve our country, our families, our friends, and those who lead us. As the Psalmist states: "Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle." You have called us by name to defend this land, to give up the comforts of home to discover the dirt and grime of the field. You have called us to the battlefield to be Army Strong and courageous. You have blessed us with freedom and dignity. May we value our call as Soldiers of the Big Red One, and let the fruits of our missions set the stage for peace. Wherever we serve, help us to remember, it is our Duty First to know, love, and serve You in this world.
