thoughts on Catholicism @ Historia Salutis

What is Historia Salutis?

Broadly speaking, historia salutis is the history of God’s salvific activity for his people. Narrowly, it is the life, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Given that Jesus’ work is the epitome of redemptive history, historia salutis is most often used in this narrow sense.

This site exists to promote the study of the history of redemption. We will trace themes throughout Scripture, study protology, typology and eschatology, and provide links to useful materials throughout the web.
