Why is Mitt Romney weak on Pro-Life issues?

Mitt Romney has been and is a life-long practicing Mormon. He has held a variety of leadership positions in his church. He is a serious Mormon, he is an active one. Therefore I feel is it appropriate to ask the following question. Why is Mitt a flip-flopper on issues like abortion?

I would argue it is this way because of his bad theology. Mormons do not believe that the soul enters the baby until birth. The baby in the womb is not fully human, he/she has no soul. In Mormon theology that counts for a lot because the soul exists prior to conception. That is why abortions or embryonic stem-cell research are both ethical and permitted in Mormon thinking...
